[KOSDAQ REPORT (54)] NEOWIZ Games targets global mobile markets

A Korean online game publisher, NEOWIZ wants to expand their businesses to oversea and mobile contents as main drivers for the future growth. The company expects that the overseas revenue will increase about 45 percent around 90 billion won ($73.22) in this year. Game portal Pmang (www.pmang.com) and international branches, NEOWIZ has continued expanding into many countries such as China, the U.S., Vietnam, Taiwan and Thailand. NEOWIZ chief executive said that they plan to expand their branches in Japan and China to be well known as in Korea.

In a result to growth in mobile markets, its U.S. affiliate Neowiz Entertainment has listed a mobile game named Nimps and its portal Pmang on Apple’s App Store. Online games claim success is through increased participation of users and the changing needs of different users of the games. The company also took over Cyber Revolutionary Space, famous for its game Seven Souls, to strengthen their contents and global competitiveness.

In my opinion, it is good to know that NEOWIZ Company will expand their online game to Thailand. Thai people can enjoy this online game too. It will also make their business growth.

S. Korea ranks 15th in 'best country' study

South Korea is the world's 15th best country to live in according to a study conducted by U.S. news magazine Newsweek. South Korean President Lee Myung-bak is on e of the top ten leaders around the world for managing the global financial crisis. The study was conducted on 100 countries according to five categories of national well-being, which are education, health, quality of life, economic competitiveness, and political environment. South Korea came second for its education levels, with a literacy rate of 97.9 percent with average school age of 14.3. The economic competitiveness ranks third. Finland is the best country to live in follow by Switzerland, Sweden and Australia. Japan is at ninth place. Naming South Korean President Lee puts in place effective economic policies and brought about "the fastest economic recovery among OECD nations."

In my opinion, Thailand is also a country which has a good education for student. I do agree with the article that Korea is the best country to study with good quality and environment. University in Korea is also in a top rank of the world too.

Google is currently under investigation in a number of countries to see for breaking data protection or privacy laws. The Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) is investigating Google Korea on suspicion of unauthorized collection of data on users from wi-fi networks.Korean media reported that 19 KNPA agents raided the Google office, seizing hard drives and related documents. A spokesperson for Google told BBC News that the raid was part of the KNPA's "investigation on data collection on Street View Cars". Google Korea said they will answer any question that the police want to know.

In my opinion, Google should not break the data protection laws because it will not safe for people to put their personal information on the internet.

South Korea transport goes green on recharging road

South Korea is trying to reduce the pollution in public transportation so they use electric toothbrushes and razors to power buses and cars. The new transport powers have to run by magnetic connections. There are no direct connections with wires. The University outside of Seoul has four prototype buses that use the technology on campus. Seoul and other cities will plan to use this transport for the next three years and using the system called "online electrical vehicle." The bus use small electrical stations, near bus lanes and roads at intersections so they can charge up at intersection. The Micro charges just need little time to charge.The system allows electric cars and buses to cut down on battery size. The online electrical vehicle system is safe for humans. The cost of installing the system is an estimated 400 million won ($353,500) per kilometer of road and does not include electricity.

I think it is a good idea to do this because they will be less pollution in the environment. I want Thailand to have this kind of transport and it will help decrease the pollution in Thailand too. No matter what, even though it has to take a long time to build this project but it is good for every country.

Kim Yu-na's ice show

As we all know, ice skating is a very beautiful sport. Kim Yu-na is queen of ice skating in South Korea. She won the gold medal in the Winter Olympics 2010 in Vancouver, Canada. She had her own ice skating show in South Korea. The title of the show is called “2010 All That Skate Summer.” During the ice show, she performed with her special guest and who is her idol, five times champion, Michelle Kwan.

I really like her since I watched her performance in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. Her performance is really great, even though, she fell during her performance in the Winter Olympics. She still had a very great performance. When she is skating, I think she really enjoys it and makes everyone who watches her thrilled by her performance. She also has a fan club all around the world.
