Small is beautiful

Samsung Electronics introduced a new mini laptop or netbook to the customer, the N150 Plus (left) and R590 (right). Samsung is selling five new mini- laptops, which provide stronger processing power, wireless Internet capability and longer battery life. To compare with the old function of the Samsung laptop, this new one has more conveniences for the customer. In my opinion, I never use a Samsung laptop before but I think it will be a good choice for the customer to buy this laptop. I believe that Samsung choose the best quality for their customer. It is a small laptop and easy to carry around.

Obama Praises Korean Education Again

Korea is one of the most highly educated nations in the world. Obama admired South Korea again about education. Obama encourages Americans to put more effort on their education because America cannot succeed in science if South Korea and India produces more scientists and engineers. Obama used Korean education to be an example of what American educators should try to be like by having longer school days and after-school programs. South Korea is surprise by Obama remarks because Korean education lack creativity and depend on private tutoring.

From what I heard, Korean children have extra class every evening, so they can do well and enter a good university. However, Korean children will be stressed from their studies and do not have any free time to relax.

Setback for South Korea's president in local elections

President Lee Myung-bak, Grand National Party (GNP) lost his election to the Democratic Party (DP). Mr. Lee won only six posts out of seven posts. The reason why Mr. Lee lost his election is because of his tough stand with North Korea. North Korea torpedoed the South Korean ship and caused forty-six sailors to die. North and South Korea has cut relationship. GNP won only six out of 16 mayoral. Hence, South Korean people did not want to vote for GNP because they think Mr. Lee is too tough on North Korea. In my opinion, I agree with South Korean people that Mr. Lee should be more flexible with North Korea, so that the two countries can work together and be stronger. If they join together to become one nation it will be good for them in many ways.

South Korea in surprise interest rate rise

It is surprising for Korean people that the Korean central bank increased the interest rate from 2% to2.25%. It never happened before since the onset of the global financial crisis. South Korea is following Australia and Malaysia in raising interest rate. Countries such as UK still keep their rate in a low 0.5%. Moreover, the European Central Bank keeps their rate at 1%. They are not confident in economic recovery so they do not want to increase their rate. Korea is continuing its economic recovery. It is predicted that South Korea’s economy will grow at a fast rate. South Korea is the third largest economy in Asia. In my opinion, South Korea has a good economy and can grow must stronger than Thailand as you can see from their technology. They also have good entertainment business that export to many countries in Asia.

South Korean star Park Yong-Ha found dead

I don’t know why Korean people like to commit suicide to abandon their problems instead of fighting against their problems. From the newspaper article, the superstar and singer, Park Yong-Ha committed suicide by hanging himself with a battery charger. He was only thirty-three years old and his mother was the first person who found Park Yong-Ha dead in his room. The reason why he killed himself was stress from his father’s cancer. Mr. Park said this before his death, "I must be sick instead of you, father. I'm sorry, I'm sorry", according to a policeman. In the week before his death he said that his work was "difficult and this kind of life is so hard" There was no suicide note or signal why he had to kill himself. Park Yong-Ha has a good future as a singer and actor. He will be in another drama with a famous actress so this can bring his career to be more successful. Suicide is common among Korean people at the age of 20 to 30. As you can see before from news that Korean actor and singer like to commit suicide no matter they will be more successful.

South Korea World Cup 2010!!

After South Korea lost Uruguguay in the last 16 teams, South Korea team's Coach, Huh Jung-Moo decided to step away from the National team. Cho Chung- yun, President of the Korean Football Association (KFA) said " There are many great coaches in Korea, and I believe any one of them who leads the squad will be successful." On the other hand, Cha Du-ri has signed two years contact with Celtic FC, Scottish club. I cheer for South Korea team and I had disappointed when Korea lost to Uruguay 2-1 that is sad. I had seen Cha Du- ri in the match with Nigeria and I think he is not that good anyway, so I'm kind of not impressing at him.
